Sahil Shah is the main wrist spinner of the bowling unit and one of the core member & originator of Team VMS. Fondly known as “Warnie” for his abilty to turn the ball big both ways and a big fan of Australian world class spinner “Shane Warne”. Has been playing cricket since age of 10, Sahil is feared by all the team on the circuit due to his wicket taking abilities, One of the most fun loving and jovial team mate off the field and a party animal to core. Sahil gives his best on the field and will never backout from any challenges given on any day. Sahil is also a destructive lower order leg side batsman and youngest member of the team.
Sahil’s ball continue to linger for any batsman, of that peerless leg-spinner walking up to bowl, running those last three steps and sending the ball fizzing through the air, in various tantalizing loops. The ball landing outside the leg stump and suddenly changing direction, tracing a path of flagrant treachery. Sahil gathered many wickets and took hat-tricks on many occasions, won the Man-of-the-Match award multiple times. His ball that gazoodled bouncing outside leg stump and cuffing off, is unanimously esteemed the most famous in history of VMS Cricket. Sahil has stockpile of straight balls, a zooter, slider, toppie and back-spinner, one that drifted in, one that sloped out, and another that didn't budge, yet he seldom got his wrong'un right and rarely landed his flipper. More than ever he relied on his two oldest friends: excruciating accuracy and an exquisite leg break, except that he controlled the degree of spin - and mixed it - at will. Like the great classical painters, he stumbled upon the art of simplicity of his bowling which was never been simpler, nor more effective, nor lovelier to look at by any of the batsman. Sahil is one of the most cheerful and colorful part of our Team VMS.
